Jobs at Vamos Academy Málaga
Our Málaga campus sits at Calle Reding 6, a few minutes from the old town and a short walk from La Malagueta beach. Students arrive from across Europe – many through Erasmus and university exchange programmes – and stay anywhere from a fortnight to a full academic year.

What working in Málaga is actually like
Málaga is a real city that happens to have a beach, not a resort that happens to have a city. It has a university, a serious museum scene, and an airport that puts most of Europe within three hours – which is precisely why our students come here.
For staff that means a genuine year-round working life rather than a summer season, though summer is unmistakably our busiest period. If you are moving here from abroad, the team will help you with the practical parts: NIE paperwork, finding a flat, opening a bank account, working out which gestoría to trust.
Who we hire in Málaga
- Spanish teachers (ELE) – native or near-native Spanish and an ELE qualification.
- English teachers – native-level English and a recognised certificate, teaching mostly local learners.
- Language coaches – tracking a portfolio of students through their whole course.
- Reception and student services – B2 English or better is essential; a third language is a real advantage.
Most roles here need the right to work in Spain. The application form asks about this directly.
How our hiring actually works
- You apply through the form on the job page. Four short steps, about eight minutes. You answer the questions before you upload your CV, so we read it with the right context.
- A person reads it. Alejandro or Raquel, not an automated filter.
- First conversation. Usually a video call of thirty to forty minutes. We tell you what the job really involves, including the parts that are hard.
- A practical step. For teaching roles that means a demo class. For other roles, a short task related to the actual work. We do not set unpaid multi-day projects.
- Decision, either way. If it is a no, we will write and tell you. Silence is not an answer we use.
Your CV is stored privately on our own server, never published, and deleted after twelve months. Write to info@vamospanish.com and we will delete it sooner.
Questions about working at our Málaga campus
Do I need to speak English to work in Málaga?
For reception and student services, yes – B2 at minimum, because most students do not speak Spanish when they arrive. For Spanish teaching roles the classroom runs in Spanish, and English is useful rather than required.
Is there work outside the summer?
Yes. Summer is the peak and brings extra seasonal hours, but the school runs all year, including through the winter with longer-stay and exchange students.
Do you help with relocation?
We help with the practical side – paperwork, orientation, pointing you at accommodation. Ask about it at the first conversation and we will be specific rather than vague.
