Why work here rather than somewhere larger

We are small. That is the honest pitch and also the real one.

  • You will know your students. Not a register of two hundred names you never attach to faces.
  • Your work is visible. If you change how something is taught here, it changes for the whole school, not for one branch of forty.
  • Two countries, one team. Málaga and Buenos Aires share materials, ideas and, when it makes sense, people.
  • Students who chose this. Most of our learners crossed a border to be here. That changes the energy in a classroom.

What we are not: we are not a large chain with a fixed career ladder and a big HR department. If you want a highly structured corporate path, we would rather say so now than waste your time.

Our two campuses

Málaga, Spain

Calle Reding 6, 29016 Málaga – minutes from the old town and a short walk from La Malagueta beach. Most of our European exchange and Erasmus students come through here, alongside local learners studying English.

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Maipú 464, C1084 Buenos Aires, in the centre of the city. Students choose Buenos Aires when they want rioplatense Spanish and a year that does not look like anyone else’s.

The kinds of roles we hire for

  • Spanish teachers (ELE) – in Málaga and in Buenos Aires.
  • English teachers – for local learners and international students at both campuses.
  • Language coaches – looking after a portfolio of students through their whole course.
  • Student services and reception – the people who make the school work day to day.
  • Business development – building our Erasmus and university partnerships across Europe.

How our hiring actually works

  1. You apply through the form on the job page. Four short steps, about eight minutes. You answer the questions before you upload your CV, so we read it with the right context.
  2. A person reads it. Alejandro or Raquel, not an automated filter.
  3. First conversation. Usually a video call of thirty to forty minutes. We tell you what the job really involves, including the parts that are hard.
  4. A practical step. For teaching roles that means a demo class. For other roles, a short task related to the actual work. We do not set unpaid multi-day projects.
  5. Decision, either way. If it is a no, we will write and tell you. Silence is not an answer we use.

Your CV is stored privately on our own server, never published, and deleted after twelve months. Write to info@vamospanish.com and we will delete it sooner.

Questions people ask us

Do I need to speak Spanish to work at Vamos Academy?

For most roles based in Málaga or Buenos Aires, yes – you will be dealing with colleagues, suppliers and local paperwork. English teaching roles are the main exception, where the classroom runs in English but daily life at the school does not. Each job page states the real requirement.

Do you sponsor visas?

For most roles we need candidates who already hold the right to work in Spain or Argentina. Apply anyway if you do not – the form asks about it directly, and for senior roles it is a conversation rather than an automatic no.

Can I apply if there is no matching vacancy?

Yes. Choose “Speculative application” on the form. We keep applications for twelve months and genuinely do look back through them when something opens.

Do you take teaching interns or work-experience placements?

Sometimes, usually linked to a university programme. Send a speculative application and say which institution and what your programme requires.

Is remote work possible?

Teaching and student services roles are on campus – the job is the room. The Erasmus and university partnerships role is remote across Europe.
