Like Christmas, New Year´s Eve celebration is traditionally a very family-oriented affair. The majority of the city-dwellers would also spend it away from the city to escape the heat and to be with family. While there is no one specific public place where people congregate for the countdown in the city, there are a few popular options, depends on how you’d like to celebrate and welcome the new year. After midnight, however, many dance floors will be back-to-business where people can dance their night away celebrating the new year!
Here are some ideas for you to consider:
Not only there is a good selection of restaurants in Puerto Madero, it is also a perfect location to watch fireworks at midnight. Its generally unobstructed, open space allows a good view of fireworks going off around the city.
The well-known restaurant/club Asia de Cuba is offering 2 options to their End of Year Celebration: Dinner+disco AR$1600 (includes meal, drinks, a bottle of champagne and all night dancing) or Disco only AR$600 (includes drinks)
The grandiose Faena Hotel is having a Masquerade Ball at US$690 per person. However, at time of posting, the event seems to have sold out already.
This neighborhood is home to many luxury hotels like Alvear Palace, Sofitel, Palacio Duhau-Park Hyatt, Caesar Park etc. On the last night of the year, they all have something special to offer. Some have a special dinner menu designed and prepared by an internationally-renowned guest chef, some have buffet dinner and live show, and some have a thematic gala night. While one of these options will set you back a few hundred US dollars, you will no doubt be in for a very glamorous celebration. Call them for more information as they are not readily available on their websites.
No need further introduction to this hip neighborhood which has an energetic nightlife and something cool is always going on. The one worth mentioning is Magdalena’s Party https://www.facebook.com/magdalenasparty is having a Black & White Masquerade NYE Party starting at 11PM, free entry, free champagne at 12, free masks!
After the midnight toast, the real parties begin:
