BAFICI 2013 Is Coming To Town

April in Buenos Aires means fall has arrived this metropolitan city but it also means it’s time for BAFICI! BAFICI, an annual international independent film festival, has to be one of our most-anticipated yearly events.

Starting from Wednesday April 10 till Sunday April 21, hundreds of films from all around the world will be shown over these 12 days. Advanced tickets have started going on sale since Wednesday April 3. You can either buy them personally at la Casa de la Cultura (Av. de Mayo 575, Monday – Friday 10am – 8pm) or Village Recoleta Mall (Vicente López y Junín, 4th floor. Monday – Friday 10am – 8pm), or you can purchase them online at their website. After the festival has started, tickets will also be available at the box office of the various venues. Tickets are AR$20.

Other than paid screenings, there’ll also be free outdoor cinema at Parque Centenario! Check out the schedule here.

It’s always tough to pick when there are so many movies to choose from. While not every movie has a trailer, the BAFICI website is quite comprehensive that you can browse movies by date, venue, title, director or category. Given it’s only a few days away from the start of the festival, don’t delay your decision too much or the good ones would be sold out fast!
